Global Warming Lies Exposed - Dr Dennis Jensen MP

“Global warming” has been exposed as a massive fraud which the public has been duped into believing, Federal Member for Tangney Dennis Jensen said Monday.

“The simple fact is that there is no ‘global warming’ of the kind claimed by the federal government and its cheerleaders in the green lobby,” he added.

“They would have us believe the planet is getting warmer, and that this is a direct consequence of human activity.

“They would have us believe this is causing Antarctic ice to melt.

“They would have us believe their lies.”

Dr Jensen said climate change was a constant throughout the history of the planet, and that the process was continuing.

“But the reality is that in this century the planet is actually cooling,” he added.

“And the reality is that southern polar ice is expanding.

“These are facts, supported by hard scientific data, not based on emotive calls for a love of the environment.

“They are facts which are confirmed by the federal government’s own scientists.

“But they are facts you will not hear from the federal government because they contradict their ‘global warming’ fantasy.”

Dr Jensen’s comments followed reports that Antarctic research scientists had noted “significant cooling in recent decades” in Antarctica, and that ice was expanding across much of the polar continent.

The Federal Government’s Australian Antarctic Division – an agency which falls under Environment Minister Peter Garrett’s portfolio – reportedly agreed with research by the international Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research, saying ice losses in West Antarctica over the last three decades were more than made up for by gains elsewhere, particularly East Antarctica.

“The government has fostered this fraud against the Australian public in a bid to push through its planned emissions trading scheme (ETS),” Dr Jensen said.

“The ETS is bad for households, bad for business and bad for government. It is simply bad for the entire country.

“And now we are seeing that the very foundation of that scheme – the supposed crisis of global warming – is a lie.

“We know it is a lie, they know it is a lie. And the Australian people are starting to see through the government’s hype and realise it is a lie.”

The ETS is a key policy of the federal government, but suffered a serious blow last week when the scheme’s architect, Professor Ross Garnaut, said it was debatable whether it should go ahead.

“The man behind the ETS is saying there is a problem,” Dr Jensen said.

“The scientists out in the field are saying there is a problem.

“More and more Australians are saying there is a problem.

“But the government presses on with its fraud.”

Dr Jensen called for a full public inquiry into climate change, and suggested the millions spent on addressing the fraud of ‘global warming’ could be better spent researching and addressing very real climate change issues.

“Climate changes constantly and this can have massive implications for Australia,” he said.

“Improved climate research and forecasting and well-planned mitigation strategies could ultimately save Australia billions of dollars and many, many lives.”
